How old does my child have to be to start school?

Children need to be 4 years old by September 1 to enter Pre-Kindergarten.

Children need to be 5 years old by September 1 to enter Kindergarten.

Children need to be 6 years old by September 1 to enter First Grade.

 

What grades does the school have?

The school has Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8.

 

Are there different nationalities in school?

The school is culturally diverse.

 

Is there an Early Morning program?

Yes, the early morning program is from 6:30 AM until 7:35 AM. The cost is $15.00 per

week.

 

Is there an after school program?

Yes, there is an after school program. Call the school at 215.342.4488 for rates.

 

Do Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten wear school uniforms?

No, the children wear comfortable clothing.

 

Do you have gym?

Yes, the students have the following classes once a week: Gym, Art, Library, and

Computers.

 

What is the length of the school day?

Student arrival for Pre-K through Grade 8 is between 7:30 AM and 7:40 AM; dismissal

begins at 2:40.

 

Do you accept non-Catholic children?

Yes.

 

Is tuition assistance available?

Parents can complete an application for Children’s Scholarship and apply; winners are

accepted by lottery. Parents can apply for BLOCS in early spring. Tuition aid is based

on financial need.

 

How many children are in a class?

20 children are accepted for pre-K. All others grades vary in size from 20 to 34; grades

5-8 have one class of each grade. The number of classes per grade is dependent upon the

number of enrolled students for each grade.

 

Is there a lunch program?

Yes, students may remain in school for lunch. There is a fee for students remaining for

lunch. This fee is used to pay the lunch supervisors.

 

There is a hot lunch program. Parents receive applications in September to complete.

Families, depending upon finances, may qualify for free lunch, reduced lunch, or can pay

for lunch. This is a separate fee.

Students may bring a lunch from home.

 

Can parents help in the lunch program as lunch supervisors?

Parents are welcome to assist in the supervision of students at lunch. Parent Lunch aides

need to provide the following forms to the school:

• Criminal background check

• Child abuse check

• FBI fingerprint check

• Attendance at Safe Environment program

Tuition varies for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and grades 1-8. Call 215.745.3513 to
